Where Is Your Grown Up?

Often when a restavèk is seen alone, someone will ask "Where is your grown-up?" Not where is your mother or father... but where is your grown-up.  We would like for them to say "My grown-ups are in the US and in countries all over the world.  They stand with the National Coalition for Haitian Rights.  They are part of an international network that is speaking out to defend my rights as a child."

The National Coalition for Haitian Rights (NCHR) is a non-profit, nongovernmental institution that seeks to promote and protect the rights of Haitians under U.S. and international law, and to advance respect for human rights, the rule of law and support for civil and democratic society in Haiti.

Membership in NCHR is open to individuals and  organizations based in the US and everywhere who subscribe to its objectives.

Be a grown-up.
